Lions crush forZe to reach Grand Final

Lions have defeated forZe 2-0 at ASUS Summer 2010, securing them a spot in the Grand Final.

The Swedish team managed to execute a close to perfect Terrorists side on de_dust2, leading 13-2 at half time, with captain Björn "threat" Pers delivering an outstanding performance. Lions won the pistol round as CT and had a great advantage in the second round. But Russians bought and managed to kill several Lions members, leaving it up to Niklas "niko" Johansson to bring home a 1 on 3 situation, which he managed to win, putting Lions at match point on de_dust2. The following round Lions sealed the deal to win 16-2 on de_dust2 and take the lead 1-0.

On second map de_nuke Lions got to start on the CT side, where the Swedes produced a 10-5 lead before switching to the Terrorist side. The Russians kept chances in the match intact, by winning the pistol round as CT, despite smart play by Lions with the bomb planted. It did not take Lions long to break down the Russian barricades to reach six rounds and the victory at 16-9.

Lions will play either Natus Vincere or k23 in the Grand Final of ASUS Summer 2010, forZe still has one match left, as they will play the third place decider match, against the loser of the second semi-final.
